Obviously, many of us don’t agree with your opinion of anti-climatic. I thought it was beautiful, I sat at the edge of my seat the entire time, tracking my characters as we switched between scenes, a glimpse of Brienne here meant relief, as it did when you glimpsed any favorite. I too wish it had not been as dark, but I see what they were driving home, “the night is dark and full of terror” it really was a beautifully done episode. Arya was the Prince that was promised since the lore was they would defeat the Night King. Arya is a Princess if Winterfell. It was climatic, best episode ever in Game of Thrones. Everyone talks that the Battle of the Basterds was the best but I always thought it was blah, and finally an episode where Jon is not the hero. I completely agree with you! It was a fantastic episode and having Arya kill the Night King the way she did and the way it was shot is so satisfying and unexpected. And the way it just became silent was so beautifully done. Although Bran wasn’t really helpful. To belittle someone’s articulate opinion is disgraceful. The ability to watch a fictional show means being able to take your brain out and see it for what it is. I thought it was fabulous Ali.

Prophecies are bullshit, good guys don’t always win and if you expected a happy ending you’re not paying attention. Don’t Make Me Add You To The List GOT. You can’t just have the big bad guy walk through dragon flame without a singe, only to have a small, kinda magic dagger instantly destroy him and his entire army. That’s just ridiculous. The fantasy heroes conquered the unstoppable undead horde. That’s where the fantasy bookends. I’m incredibly invested in the lore and the books and I still found this episode satisfying and amazing. There are some parts I wish would have been fleshed out more, but you can’t please everyone. Don’t belittle fans and assume they’re just lesser fans than you for actually enjoying something. It was absolute hot garbage. There were some charming moments, but ultimately the show writers took a shortcut to think and flew directly in the face for what Martin has had directly stated he has great disdain for. I’m furious. All week I’ve been seeing Deadpool’s for the GoT characters we love as if this were the final battle. Did you not get from the title of the show? It’s Game of Thrones not the battle of Winterfell, or the night kings a coming. This battle, while epic to watch is nothing compared to the battle for who eventually sits on the iron throne.
